Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness has sent well wishes to sprint legend Usain Bolt and his girlfriend Kasi Bennett on the birth of their first daughter.
The couple launched the countdown to the birth of Baby Bolt in January on Instagram.

In his message on Twitter, the Prime Minister wrote: “Congratulations to our sprint legend Usain Bolt and Kasi Bennett on the arrival of their baby girl”.

According to local media reports, the couple’s daughter was born on Sunday.

Bolt, the world record holder at 100m and 200m, retired from Athletics in 2017 after a decade of dominance in men’s sprinting. At the 2016 Olympics, he became the only man to win the 100m and 200m titles at three consecutive Olympics.
