The person suspected of killing the son of federal judge Esther Salas on Sunday at her North Brunswick home has died of what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Law enforcement sources say that 20-year-old Daniel Anderl, a student at Catholic University, was killed upon opening the front door to the gunman who appeared to be wearing a FedEx uniform.
Salas’ husband, Mark Anderl, who is a defense attorney, was injured during the shooting, according to Chief Judge Freda Wolfson.
Judge Salas was unharmed. Her brother said her husband is in stable condition.
